What is a Beacon Award?
The Beacon Awards recognize excellence in business communication in Oregon and southwest Washington. They are awarded to professionals who have proven that their communication programs effectively furthered the goals of their organization by boosting revenue, saving money, rallying employees or otherwise contributing to a successful outcome.

OCIABC service awards
Rodney Adair Award for Distinguished Service
This is the highest honor our chapter can bestow to a member. Rodney Adair left our organization with a legacy of active membership and dedicated service, and the chapter created the Rodney Adair Award “for sustained and exceptional service to the association and for professional advancement.”

IABC International’s Gold Quill Awards
For more than 25 years, IABC’s Gold Quill Awards program has been the hallmark of excellence in business communication. From the many thousands of entries submitted throughout the years, only the most outstanding communicators have been honored with this coveted award. The Gold Quill Awards program is an annual international competition which offers professional communicators an opportunity to have their work evaluated by expert judges.
