Responsibilities: We are looking for a professional who provides vision and strategic direction for enrollment management, marketing, and communication. The Marketing Manager position plays a critical role in advancing the PACE mission and is responsible for the development, oversight, and management of all PACE enrollment, recruiting, and related marketing communications programs. This position supports and oversees all personnel employed or contracted by the university to accomplish the outlined tasks. The Marketing Manager is responsible for development of marketing resources and strategic campaigns for student recruitment including social media, web-based communications, website management for recruitment purposes, and printed materials. This position is responsible for enrollment stability and strategic enrollment growth and manages visual branding, communications, and student services across various marketing channels.

This position works closely with many campus partners, including: University Relations and Marketing, the OSU Alumni Association, OSU Extended Campus, OSU Extension Service, and Extension and Experiment Station Communications.

Qualifications: Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related field
  • Three years of professional marketing/communications experience with a specialized expertise in digital marketing for workforce development, continuing education, professional development, and/or adult education programs. Expertise may include marketing background in training seminars, certificates, higher or continuing education programs, as well as credit or non-credit courses.
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing plans
  • Project management experience, including demonstrated success working with teams
  • Experience with Internet marketing, including promotion via Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and emerging social media tools and technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead groups and to plan, organize, evaluate, manage, and delegate details associated with programs and unit initiatives
  • A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, such as experience developing/implementing marketing strategies to reach members of underrepresented groups
  • This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OAR 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or in a field relevant to duties outlined in the position description
  • Experience marketing in a higher education context
  • Customer relationship management experience using an enterprise-level CRM tool (e.g. Salesforce or Hubspot)
  • Experience managing or conducting market research
  • Basic understanding of design principles as related to the development of marketing materials and ability to help graphic designer create marketing collateral
Salary Range:

$47,820 – $81,372
